Battle Jackets London is a metal podcast, they tend to focus on jackets (obviously), but I really like their youtube videos because they talk about good places to see metal and give good music reccomendations. They host events where they sell patches, and even though I haven't got a jacket, I decided to go because I wanted to meet some people and get some music reccomendations.
It was at The Black Heart in Camden, which is the coolest pub I've ever been to (although the bar's not that high as I've been to almost exclusively shit pubs). They had metal playing really loud which was so cool because I feel like everywhere (even some metal venues) just plays boring shit.
I saw a jacket which I'd seen on instagram litterally that morning, what a coincidence! It was really fucking cool, and it could stand up by itself. It's on Battle Jackets London's instagram now too if you want to see it. I also saw an Abominable Putridity patch in the wild which was so cool cause I've never met anyone else that knows them. Apparently he got the patch custom made, I don't reckon they sell them anywhere so it makes sense
I ended up sitting with 2 really cool people who were working on their jackets, and we got to chat about metal. It was great.
